AAMA Executive Director Donald Balasa works to improve your position as a medical assistant and member of this association. This fall, that work took another step forward, as Executive Director Balasa was appointed to the Legal Section Council of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

As a member of the Legal Section Council of the ASAE, Executive Director Balasa will assist in developing annual law symposiums in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Balasa and the other council members work to bring attention to legal issues of relevance to the association community. His work also affords him the opportunity to put the AAMA in a larger national spotlight. Joining the ASAE volunteer leadership team presents "another good opportunity for the AAMA to become better known and better recognized in association circles," he says. Their work helps further the goals of the ASAE, helping the association community in turn.
