Find Study Resources

Looking for study materials for the CMA (AAMA) Certification Examination?

Areas of knowledge and topics covered in the examination are listed in the CMA (AAMA) Certification/Recertification Examination Content Outline. It is recommended that you become familiar with the subject matter and topics listed in the Content Outline for the exam that you plan to take. Use this document to help you review and study current textbooks and publications that cover administrative and clinical procedures; anatomy and physiology; medical terminology; healthcare law and ethics; and laboratory procedures.

Answer these practice questions to test your knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology.

Take a CMA (AAMA) Exam review course if there is one offered in your area by an accredited medical assisting program or by a local chapter of the AAMA. Membership in the AAMA will help you get connected to other medical assistants and medical assisting students. You'll also receive mailings on local events.
