District of Columbia currently does not have an organized state society or local chapters affiliated with the American Association of Medical Assistants. District of Columbia residents are offered membership in the Maryland State Society and the Montgomery County local chapter or the Virginia State Society and the Fairfax local chapter to provide them with all three levels of membership participation.
