Graduates of medical assisting programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) are eligible to take the CMA (AAMA) Certification Exam.

Visit the CAAHEP or ABHES sites listed below to find the program nearest you.

Go to the CAAHEP Accredited Medical Assisting Programs and select "Medical Assistant" from the Profession Name dropdown list.

Go to the ABHES Accredited Medical Assisting Programs and type "Medical Assisting" in the Program Offered box.
