House of Delegates and Board of Trustees Highlights
Below is a summary of all the decisions made by the AAMA House of Delegates and Board of Trustees at the September 2007 convention.
The House of Delegates elected the following officers and trustees:

The House adopted Resolutions to promote awareness on the following health issues:
- Fall injuries among older adults
- Teenagers and artificial tanning
- Teenage suicide
At the September 2007 Board of Trustees meetings, the Board took the following actions:
- Approved the renewal of the continuing education reciprocity contract with the American Academy of Professional Coders for five years.
- Authorized the Certifying Board to use their General Session time slot at the Annual Conference for education sessions or for certification or credentialing issues.
- Allocated a $500 contribution to the Health Professions Network toward its marketing proposal to heighten public awareness of the critical need for qualified health professionals to serve the current and growing health care needs of our nation.
- Approved a new credit card program for members.
Other convention highlights:
The Surveyor Training Fund was officially renamed the Ivy Reade Relkin Surveyor Training Fund.
