Salary and Benefits

As you consider a medical assisting career, no doubt you have many questions. One of the most compelling may be, "How much can I make?"

Here are some things for you to keep in mind:

If you become a medical assistant, you will join a rapidly expanding segment of the work force. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (visit http://stats.bls.gov/emp/emptab3.htm), medical assisting is projected to be one of the fastest growing professions. The home page for the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is http://stats.bls.gov.

The demand for medical assistants is driving this expansion. Employers are seeking and recruiting these allied health professionals because of their uniquely diverse clinical and administrative training.

As the number of medical assistants grows, so does the recognition of their value in the marketplace.
