This page outlines the rules and expectations for your testing session, including environment setup, candidate behavior, and technology use. Violations are categorized by severity and may result in warnings or immediate exam termination.

Testing Environment Issues

Your testing space must be secure, visible, and free of prohibited items. 

Immediate Termination

  • Copy exam content in paper/written
  • Covering the camera
  • Earbuds Present
  • Environment Changes (i.e. candidate moves testing location from one room to another room during testing)
  • Explicit language
  • Explicit Materials
  • Flipping of the pages
  • Handheld Calculator
  • Headset Present
  • Open calculator
  • Open instant messaging
  • Open notepad
  • Other Application
  • Reference materials
  • Smartwatch is present (not in use)
  • Someone else in the room / Seeking exam help
  • Using Mobile Device / Telephone

Warning

  • Left Room (Warnings until termination - 3)
  • Mobile Device Present (not in use) (Warnings until termination - 1)
  • Out of view of camera (Warnings until termination -1)
  • Radio is Present (Warnings until termination - 2)
  • Tapping feet or fingers (Warnings until termination - 2)

Candidate Behavior

You must remain focused and avoid suspicious or disruptive behavior. 

Immediate Termination

  • Explicit Behavior

Warning

  • Chewing gum or eating/drinking (Warnings until termination - 2)
  • Looking somewhere else (Warnings until termination - 2)
  • Talking to someone else in room (Warnings until termination - 2)

Technology and System Violations

Your device must be used only for the exam and remain secure at all times. 

Immediate Termination

  • Browsing local computer
  • Browsing other websites
  • Copy/paste content + saves to computer
  • Screen recording software copies exam content
  • Takes picture or video of the screen
  • Using another computer

Proctoring and Compliance Issues

You must follow all exam timing and proctor instructions. 

Immediate Termination

  • Failure to return from break

Warning

  • Break time exceeded (Warnings until termination - 1)
